Pre-revised monocoque template was much better imho.

There is a position error of the monocoque in R05, my fault. As soon as possible I will share R06 with position fix and new monocoque.

Hey guys, I'm planning on buying a student version of 3DX after an industry person recommended. I looked online and almost every user hates it. I'm still confused about whether to get it or not. What are your opinions on it?

3dex is the industry standard. People will hate on every bit of software and hate spreads faster than positive reviews.

Man, looks like I am old, I thought he was asking about a cool graphics card.
Tomorrow I will publish a first version of MVRC 2025. We almost have good and working rules and parts, but I am too tired to finish up today.

So, I have published a first version of the rules:
https://mantiumchallenge.com/mvrc-rules-2025/
CAD files are also ready and registration is open:
https://mantiumchallenge.com/mvrc-2025-registration/
I would say, you all have a very good look at what we have now. In the next two weeks, so should finalize the rules, as the first race of 2025 is scheduled for the 27.04.2025.
MFlow is also pretty much ready. I am not 100% sure yet, if we will use OpenFOAM 12 or v2412. So you will have to wait a few extra days for the new release.

Are we supposed to design our own mirrors or will there be a mandatory part for it?

I haven't downloaded the final release yet, but the mirror reflective surface should be included.

Reflective surface is included on the release. I meant the rest of it. I dont wanna invest time if there is a mandatory mirror incoming.

Yes, everything else is free to design

LapSim is updated, link:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... 7PDgg/copy
I'm just using a google sheet this year because its easier than messing with wordpress. You will need to make a copy of the spreadsheet in order to use it. If anyone has issues or doesn't have access to google sheets for some reason, let me know and we'll figure it out.
Note that there are a few changes:
- Optimum CoP has been adjusted for the new shorter wheelbase
- Optimum CoP is now a range (listed in the sheet). Stay within this range and there will be no time penalty.
- For now, you should only be changing the "Z-Mode" values, and the "X-Mode" values should match. If in the future we're able to implement X-Mode into the CFD process then we'll have that option available to us.
As before this is a regression built from sweeps in the full matlab LTS. However I will probably just use the spreadsheet to calculate results so that we don't have to worry about any discrepancies.

Just a heads up the stl of the cell is translated down but the step is still too high so needs to be changed to match the (correct) location of the stl version

Can you clarify a bit? I built a new script to export from the CAD files to step and stl. I am a bit surprised that only one part has an issue.

I think the mistake may have been mine on reflection, feel free to ignore that. I spoke before double checking and shouldn't have!
