Why bother with high DF aero.
It simply adds drag and reduces range.
My original idea for FE had no wings or chassis down force.
The electrical drive is the road relevant part, not aircraft aero.

The wings don't seem to do a lot. From watching races there seems to be a mix of being levels in the field, some race a lot of wing, others the skinniest possible.

I was going to agree with you finally, but if a fan could solve the problem then I see no reason to use it. They don´t need to be pointing to the helmet of the car chasing you. Or a simple filter could solve it too

Not to mention fan is pretty fallible. A blade breaks and the whole thing falls apart immediately. And bye-bye downforce.

I don't think that a no df formula with a
lot slower cornering speeds would have the same kind of appeal.
Although I'd be interested in something like that. Maybe as a a formula B for a second race.

It might be a little quieter in this thread.
I've mopped up the tears and told the bickering children to take a rest.

Which would get filled with debris over time and get clogged up, reducing the effectiveness of the fan, which brings us all the way back to the beginning; inconsistent and unpredictable downforce.

It is probably just to connect it with top-flight motor-sport and such.
Personally, it might make more sense to, like you say, strip the aero and have FE be like Formula Ford and 1967-era Formula 1 racers.

Wesley, that problem could be solved easy. But anycase I agree ground effect route is quite complicated, I think it could be done safely but I agree complexity is a big drawback
This weekend is
Round 5 Miami, one of the most impressive, spectacular, unique and mindblowing tracks I´ve ever seen

Why? It has all sorts of corners, from 85 degree corners to 95 degree corners, both left and right!

How will Malone's buy-in affect FE?

You forget the very difficult kink between T7 and T8
I shouldn't laugh, my boss just bought a share in the series
