Countermeasure is back in place now....

Looks like this will be intermittently necessary until I can put a better bot countermeasure in place and/or we move to our new server.

Who knows, but it's pretty persistent and therefore highly motivated. Which I would guess makes disgruntled former user as the most likely.

Running this sort thing costs money. So lots of motivation needed

Same - do we need to bring in some outside assistance on this? It seems its now happening every week.

I sent you a PM on Sunday, not about this subject, but could you read it please?

Since yesterday the site/active topics/every choosen topic is slow loading again. Sometimes 6 - 7 sec and sometimes a bit longer.
Not as bad as it was a while ago. Am I the only one who has this?

Edit: also when I posted this .... 8 sec.

When I edited this I got this again after 12 sec: "502 Bad Gateway"

Had a couple bad gateway’s and also some pages very slow to load this morning AM.

Everything is fine again since last evening.

Site seems to have gone to pot again, bloody bots, 6000 odd users!

Here we go again. The site takes 20 - 25 sec to load. Occasionally immediately and than again 20 - 25 sec so not all the time.
This is not only the first time in the morning but every time I visite a new thread on my PC.
This morning I had 3 times "502 Bad Gateway". In between the loading was 1 minute fine and than it happend again the whole time.

Edit.
It was fine again in the evening.

Site was completely offline today for some time.
