I read somewhere (I don't remember exactly where, maybe the release notes) that MVRC edition and standard edition have been unified.
Am I wrong or there was a challenge in our plans?
PS: Is that your news car? So detailed!

I'm just trying to get an understanding about y250, tyre wake etc. Has anyone have an opinion about expected downforce levels for the new season? I'm getting some low numbers at the moment.

There has been no numbers regarding total downforce just a guesstimate from someone of the cl/cd being around 3.7 for the top teams.

For cca 2018 car downforce is about CLA=5,4 and drag CDA=1,5.
Here is article:

I dont think we will get those numbers .

Very interesting article, thanks.
Has anyone tried the updated software? I'm having a bit of trouble with the meshing time. I don't know why but the process tooks too much time.

Hi, I have a question for LDVH and other cfd experts.
Would it be more difficult (computing power, accurcy of the simulation of vortices, convergence...) to simulate a fully flat floor with a uniform gap of 40mm from the ground or a stepped floor 60mm far from the ground, but with a central region (300-500mm wide) with a gap not larger than 20mm?

Hey Andre', if you're still there, can you explain us how to use the different settings of the new softwares (the simulation for ships,...)? Like, how do you have to set up the case?
BTW, the MVRC Fast option seems to lack the symmetry plane. I tried to force it in, but then the simulation goes badly...

Hi guys,
yes I am still alive. I have one project that is trying to kill me. It looks like the worst will be over soon.
The software has been merged for various reasons. To find out how to use the new features, you can check out the tutorials on
https://matiumflow.com.
I will have a look at what is happening with the symmetry plane in the fast setting.
Mainly Chris has pretty much taken care of the rules and CAD files. I hope that we can release them next week.
Then the new season can finally begin. You will have enough time to design a car before the first race.

Chris is back? Great news!
I hope Richard will be with us too!
My car is ready... in my mind!

Yes, working very hard to finalize everything, as I was planning on announcing the new season this weekend. However I am getting a bit worried that I will need another week.

Please take the time you need. I am convinced that three perfectly managed races are better than five rushed events (also from the point of view of car design and the evolution between one race and another).
