Ferrari F2012

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

How happy is the commercial rights holder looking at these pics.

A grid full of these can't be good.

The Ferrari takes the ugly prize so far.

Sadly enough, it looks like a pull-rod at the rear, but I have difficulties to figure out the front, what is that?

But that broken nose, couldn't they have done an "MP4-27", Ron would never have accepted such an abomination?

This is beautiful car!! Well, at least when you watch it from top view

Back end of this car reminds me of F2002 and F2003GA. But where they squeezed gearbox in there?? There is no space for hand, and they squeezed 7 + R gearbox in there.

Wow ... thanks for this Ferrari ... you have actually made me GLAD that I only get to see half of the races live this year.

As much as I dislike Ferrari, you KNOW that the regulations have gone terribly wrong when the one team that always creates beautiful machinery releases THAT monstrosity. It looks like the nose bump was designed using a set square!

The FIA must stop these silly rules. How can they say "Look! This is how the cars look at the pinnacle of motorsport Aren’t you proud of us?! “Totally ridiculous

The nose is high & huge. It will get more clean air underneath it than the Mclaren. The car apart from the weird nose looks cool. Really does.

It's difficult to predict competitiveness be seeing 1 big at an angle but this car could be better than last years. Could probably win more races. My 2 cents Ferrari will beat Mclaren this year.

The real striking feature is the Sidepods. Looks damn cool & sexy those sidepods. The rear end looks amazing.

Are they using the bodywork to direct the exhaust down to a large low vane on the rear wheel or to the floor. The large picture above has been doctored around the rear wheel.

Also the small bulges in frotn of the sidepod could hide a detached crash structure -a very small one. Not sure about that

Yikes, I think heads are going to roll if this thing drives like it looks.

One thin I do like is the side pods. It appears they oped for a similar solution to what I proposed would be on the Mercedes W03. High pod intake morphing to U pod at the rear.

Pull rod on the front... oh well I guess its so ugly you won't really notice
