Have not seen this style aero rake before. What is the function of the large diameter tubes vs the normal small tubes we have seen in the past?

Those look too thick to be measuring aero. Too disruptive.
Given that they are roughly where the exhaust will go, maybe they are thermometers, with a thermocouple in each tube?
Looks that each tube has its own very thin wire going to the center of the car.

you need a specified tube to measure the temp at least that´s what the guys from our measuring department are telling me.

It´s done to record ambient temp .

"The aero rake itself could be used for measuring air speed, angle flow, pressure (Pitot-Static probe) and even temperature", to quote myself.
Judging by the size (diameter) of the probes and excluding other types of probes (cobra, etc) it's most likely for temperature or modified version of Boost Venturi. I'd love to know who's the vendor.

Edit: looking at the high res, there seems to be additional tunnel within the probe, and it looks like a Kiel probe.

Kiel probe. That is the answer.

Thanks
