To get things started again, don't you find it curious that it's MS' DRS that fails, as if the team don't want him to overtake?

I believe this whole thing has more to do with the myth landing in reality than anything else.

- MS never built that team around him at Ferrari as we thought, RB did, no room for that at Mercedes.
- Testing at will is not there anymore, MS was always very much a training product, no shame in that.
- Perhaps the man is not as friendly with the engineers and mechanics as we were led to believe?

Extrapolation at its finest.

It's worth pausing to remember the other time when people used to bet how long Schumacher's car would last.

He's been through this before. No, I am not predicting five more titles in a row, or even one, but I would venture to guess that he feels compelled to help lay the foundation for the Silver Arrows and hopefully partake in some of the early success.

In reading this thread, the Iron Maiden song, Can I Play With Madness comes to mind quite often.

It's racing, things go wrong.

Or as I've alluded to elsewhere, it's karmic payback for the 1994 season.

I don't think Schumi was involved in the fake moon landings. That was entirely between Ron Dennis and Richard Nixon.

SeijaKessen, do you know who Manchild is and the reason for my comment? :)

Yes...Manchild and myself had many scintillating conversations privately. ;)

I am very disappointed he decided to stop posting here since he had many valuable things to add.

And yes I know your reason for the comment, and rest assured, My feelings for Schumacher are very similar to his. I've just tried to be a little more reserved in what I say here. I do think Senna might still be alive were it not for Schumacher. That's about all I will say. But that belief is also based on lengthier onboard camera footage from the FW16 that was not shown on the live BBC telecast, or any of the live telecasts best as I can figure...as well as some amateur handheld footage shot from the grandstands.

I'll also say tifoso, the spirit of manchild lives on in me...I spread the good word about 1994 wherever I can.
