Qualifying will decide the championship.

If Alonso manages to get in the first 2 rows , then his fast-starting ferrari will challenge for the lead even before the first corner.

I was bored and checking out standings. I think the person who wins Singapore (among top 4) will win the championship.

Oddly, I think Singapore may be the worst indicator of the championship of the remaining races, it's pretty much the odd one out, other than Abu Dhabi.

Singapore – stop and go, 90° corners, lots of traction zones.
Japan – fast, flowing, high speed downforce
Korea – a mixture, but mostly dominated by high speed downforce
India – a similar mixture.
Abu Dhabi – similar to singapore, lots of stop/go and 90° corners, though bigger straights
US – fast, flowing, high speed downforce
Brazil – fast, flowing, high speed downforce.

So we have 5 tracks that are mostly high speed downforce limited, and 2 tractiony ones remaining.

Singapore is very deceptive, as you mention yes it's mostly stop and go and acute angle corners but like all Tilke tracks there is a variety of corner types, and certain combinations stress a cars aero efficiency.

Oh no I don't expect that they're dead at all. But you have to admit their development stream has gone quiet since Silverstone.
