The angle is ok, but you should reach it with a gradual transition (curved camber line). As RicMe said, they're also too thin: have a look to an actual airfoil

this is a rear wing but you get the idea of aerofoil shapes

Two questions here guys.
For the first one I wonder if I should make my mainplane on the front wing thinner?
For the second one I wonder if those aerofoils was what you guys meant about the thichness of the elements?

Your getting there.

1. I would leave it as it is for now, at least you have something to start with, put more time into the elements
2. Starting to get the idea, although they are rather scooped, like you have taken a rear wing plane and placed it on the front wing. Try to keep things simple to start with, just use two elements rather than your three.

Imo you should just take a look at the BGP 001 and draw something simple like that, you will probably find more of a benefit from that then going fancy.

there too sharpe in shape and you need to round off the edges, get the round curve plug in. look at the picture i posted the top aerofoil is the shape you want to create

you need to overlap slightly as well each aerofoil. you need to imagine the air over the top of the first aerofoil needs to feed the back of the next

look at these pictures from scarbs

1) look at the shape, yours are too curved. the shapes will be shallower (in your pic right hand side) then get sharper (in your pic left). but not as shape as yours.
2) look at the slight overlap and how air is being fed from one to the next

there for rear wings, but the same principle applies

----

you need to have depth to parts to, the outside bit of your endplate (the horizontal bit) is 2d so is those flick bits on your aerofoils (which you don't need if you follow the above)

your getting the idea of things and made some big improvements, you need to make sure you get your shapes right and a decent thickness to things. 5-10 mm for example depending how thick you'd guess it would be (by looking at f1 cars). my front wing aerofoils have a 10mm thickness at the start to a 5mm thickness, rear wing main plane 20mm to 10mm.

like RicME said you are going too fancy there.

Keep the main plane as it is, and apply a single flap. Take a good look at the Brawn GP frontwing, the 2009-2010 Ferrari front wing and just try to make something like that.

I forgot to say this while I was reading it all earlier today but I just got to say a big thank you to all of you who posts suggestions and all that kinda stuff. Without it I never would have known how to improve my car.

No worries mate :)
It may be a competition we are all entering but at the end of the day its a bit of fun.
The only way we are going to improve is by sharing knowledge.

I highly recommend you sign up to http://sketchucation.com if you havent done so already.
There is a wealth of knowledge on there plus a lot of plugins for SketchUp that will make modelling a lot easier.

Here are the plugins that I have installed:

You really need to take a look at real f1 cars and cars of your competitors and apply more detail to your car
