Making more interesting circuits

Hi,
i wanted to design a track which would make races more intriguing. So, i came up with this:

Its benefits:
1) Turn 1 shortly after start- a lot of action on L1
2) short pit-lane (leads to end of S1)- enables strategies with more stops
3) 3 DRS zones, for more overtaking
4) turns leading to mistakes
Please tell me what you think!

you should try and make it as mod for some racing simulators (rfactor and others)

I say invest a few million/billion bucks, make this safe and tadah! What else do we want?

Well for one the tyres wouldn't last a lap
You would need half the population of Germany to man the cameras and staff the event.
On the plus side the would never be a line at the bar!

As for kosio...
A trip through pit lane should take longer than driving the track, it shouldn't be a shortcut. Which is what your design seems to be.
3 DRS zones? People are complaining about 2 being too many.
Apart from that if you can fake a H. Tilke signature at the bottom and find a country to build it in I think you're on a winner!

well, my idea was to make a pit-lane + pit-stop time say 15 seconds slower than if you don't stop, so that strategies can be opened up. and as for the drs zones, one could easily be removed.

check bob's track builder... it has also a time-limited demo version..

yes, it looks promising. do you know of any track builder for f1challenege? i have it installd, and btb works only for rFactor. if i don't find one though i'll download rF and try it out.

I like it. Perhaps the penultimate corner should be a little less sharp so that drivers can take it full throttle, and for added sensation let it go downhill. Like a reversed eau rouge so to speak.

thanks! Do you know how i can make it for f1c?

I wonder if it's possible to design circuits with multiple racing lines. Without using banked corners. I suppose one possibility is what was mentioned in the Thailand thread, namely allowing cars to go both ways around a roundabout. In other words, when building a chicane, also build a mirror image of it, and allow drivers to choose the left or right chicane. Any other ideas?

Nope sorry. I only can create such things in my mind :p.
@notsofast: I have a similar idea for quite a long time: a circuit where you had the track split up at a point in 2 roads which are ulimately equally fast to cover back to the converging point. E.g. The choice between taking an early hairpin or a late banker. It is just dreaming I know, but how awesome wouldn't it be drivers fighting eachother through literal use of the track?

just like motocross.. flat apex of the hairpin or banked external line..
