This whole thing sort of reminds me of this clip...I'm sure some more astute individuals can draw their own conclusions from this.

What is the point, the guy did wrong, im sure in the cold light of day he knows what he was doing and whilst I enjoyed reading his posts, if the blokes messed up he should have the bollocks to apologise first and foremost, never mind if he has been banned or not, he deserves a ban for not apologising and acting like a adult.

As far as I can tell some members think they or people they like don't have to abide by the rules the rest of us do.

I do not know what happened with X and I dont care.

Just want to say that I used to be arround when he came in with his arrogant comments and was one of the things that made me go away (among many many others)..

Then I decided to ignore his remarks and recently I understood that his sense of humour is something he cant avoid.

In a tech forum he is not a necessity, in a chit chat forum he may be funny.

I wont vote.. IMO..it is a form of mob rule.. ..it must properly be ( & is, here) an executive call..

The 'rest of the forum' and the mods have always abided by their own rules - whatever they are. It's why you see very little 'technical' discussion on F1'Technical' these days and why the people who used to provide it have long since lost interest and fallen by the wayside. You get mods reacting to perceived insults, demanding apologies from people and failing to actually read and, you know, moderate the discussions they're not qualified to do so on. Using the word 'technical' implies some black and white and if you can't moderate that....then it's time to consider doing something else. Under those circumstances frustration and perceived abuse follows as the lunatics take over the asylum. The place is worse than Autosport because at least there you know what to expect.
