For me, it's this one. Not because the design itself is necessarily better than any other of it's time (well, they won, so they must have done something right), but for the engine note! It's pure music!

IMSA GTP + Group C probably the best racing series in the 80's/early 90's on race tracks both better than F-1 and CART. I wasn't following NASCAR. The Can-Am II was fun with its rebodied F5000 and Group B was king on the road...

The Rondeau M482. The last car from the last privateer to win the Le Mans 24hrs. It looked exciting and it's ideas were exciting as well, however the design did not work.

The Group C cars were fantastic. The regulations allowed many technologies. Does anyone have a copy of the original regulations?

The car was build by MARCH as 81P. Aerodynamics we're Donby Max Sardou. It had the Max 3.5-inline 6 at first. Later it got a turbocharged M12.

Not many details but the seller may humour an interested car fan.

P88 Peugeot. Probably the fastest ever at the mulsanne straight. It was designed just to achieve 400 kph at this particular circuit, not to win the 24h.
