i've read somewhere Renault might have done a complete engine overhaul, could this be indeed a sign that they actually have? I remember last year all renault-powered cars were very conservative with the pods/engine covers, only redbull had a 'tight' package, and all teams suffered huge cooling problems.

The tightness of the STR10 package suggests that cooling has been resolved?

interesting to see ALL cars, have MUCH bigger air scoops/inlets at the airbox.

Anything else would indicate a much worse PU. Can't see that happening.

Don't you rememeber the STR9? :mrgreen:
One of the reasons these sidepods are so tight: the engine oil coolers are not placed in the sidepods, but higher around the engine (near the Bull's head) and fed by the lower rollhoop intake.

Yes for me the inlet isn't much bigger than on the str9

Tightest coke bottle i have ever seen... that unbeliavable air scope and those small sidepods are making me think of a huge internal components reorganization...
If they did a good job with weight balancing and renault really fixed their PU im going to bet this car will be the 2015 revelation

You may be right with the size of the inlets, will have to do some measurements on this!

Interesting... But you know there are simply to many factors to account that i belive. 8)

Interesting to note the detail on the floor to effectively create an air channel under the sidepods exits...
This sounds to me as the central concept of the aero of the whole car
Never seen a cokebottle this tight together with tight and well shaped sidepods aswell... hope their choice to make all the components in the central line of the car will pay in terms of weight distribution.... if that works... this car is going to fly
