Here are some interesting facts about F1 Cars
· An F1 car is made up of 80,000 components, if it were assembled 99.9% correctly; it would still start the race with 80 things wrong!
· Cars have over a kilometer of cable linked to about 100 sensors and actuators which monitor and control many parts of the car.
· An F1 car can go from 0 to 160 kph AND back to 0 in FOUR seconds!!!!
· F1 car engines last only for about 2 hours of racing mostly before blowing up on the other hand we expect our engines to last us for a decent 20 yrs on an average and they quite faithfully DO....that’s the extent to which the engines r pushed to perform...

It's more than 2h.
A engine has to endure 5 weekend's (at least). With practice's,a Qualifying and a Race.
Actually they have to endure more than a WEC engine in a 6h race
I'm not sure they can reach 160kph AND back to 0 in four seconds. I'd say they reach 160 kph after 4sec

Before the rules came into being to force engines to last more than 1 weekend, the ideal F1 engine would expire just after crossing the finish line. The theory being that making something robust & reliable usually means adding weight.

Not if it's a Renault engine!

Old data I read many years back, but impressive anycase, one of those things you can´t forget
A corner where a street Porsche would pass at 140km/h max, an F1 car would pass at 260km/h
