A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

What's interesting to note about this diffuser is that it doesn't end at the floor. It ends at the top of the brake duct fins. That whole area in the corner of the floor and the wheel has a massive upwash connecting the diffuser to the brake fins because they place those multiple and tiny winglets there. These contribute a lot to their total downforce.
You can see the influence of the fins on the diffuser by how the walls of the diffuser are sloped to bias the flow of air from underneath the car towards the brake fins.
Ferrari has been more creative this year with aero gains than most teams.
The other teams should look into copying this kind of strong dependency between brake fins and diffuser.
For Sure!!

Did the suspension geometry change or is it just a different bodywork?

Maybe(probably) this was already the case in Austin but notice the footplates.

Interested to know if they persisted with different parts - the gap between Kimi and Seb in quali was huge, so wonder if car parts were in any way a factor?
