McLaren MCL32 Honda

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

This car looks much shorter than the other cars. I wonder if that was the right move? You need more floor area for more downforce and natrowing of the body. The shortening looks like a result of a very compact engine, but they should have kept some length for flow managent.
The sidepod openings have separate ducting inside. Looks like this car has a few aces up its sleeve.
This car is the most aggressive though
For Sure!!

How do you figure that? It looks fairly basic to me.

The Bargeboards reach quite high up the chassis compared to others.

What do you guys think about The Bargeboards area? Does it look undeveloped compared to others to you?

Actually it's pretty neat. It doesn't have to look crazy to have crazy effect, it's smooth and see how they connected from the midsection pretty much to the start of the floor, its very clever, its like a tunnel. I'm impressed I should say.

Is that a slot behind the PW Pylon? If so that would be the intake for the S-Duct right?
