You may have noticed the JCB logo on the back of the Williams this year.

Did you know they ran over 350 MPH on the salt at Bonneville .
The story is pretty interesting. The used modified engines from the back of their loaders. On the salt there is very little traction and the stream liners are very slippery. With the two engine configuration they would get enough load into the front engine to have it come up on boost while the rear engine would not build boost and go along for the ride. The driver Andy Green would try dragging the brakes to put more load into the engines. They eventually ran a pipe connection both plenums so that both engines would see the same boost helping them both come up to power. Then they found a software problem where the engine would think it was in neutral can cut fueling.
