I looked at the top image an immediately thought they were testing a section of track ready for the electric cars

Big Fred 3 secs down on his teammate - although I understand times of day/temps/traffic played a part in that (didn’t see it).

In a way it’s interesting how this part of the triple crown works, since you can benefit hugely from the other guys driving; it was harder for Hulk because there was at least some competition then, but I seem to remember he wasn’t generally the quickest of the drivers in the winning car (all of whom are full-time sportscar drivers, so understandable, just saying).

He was so shocked by the proper tyres in P1 he couldn't concentrate
Toyota should win this at a walking pace, their problem in the past has been reliability - Nakajima a couple of years back springs to mind. Not having the competition should improve the reliability some.

That, and over confidence. Remember how Davidson turned into a 488 while leading the race? (think it was 2 years ago)
To finish first, you first have to finish...
EDIT: Nevermind. The crash wasn't his fault, and it was in 2012. Brain got a few wires wrong

For those having trouble finding the broadcast of Le Mans, as I did, it's going to broadcast in it's entirety on Velocity channel. That's 663 on my Xfinity carrier

So, that's a pole position for Fernando Alonso
Thanks to Kazuki Nakajima, who did the two fastest laps with the Toyota #8. Both of which were good enough for pole.
