I say they would do Q2 on supersofts. It is a very good choice to start the race on, because track position is king here, an shorter first stint gives you the chance to undercut others before the field spreads out.Mattchu wrote: ↑03 Oct 2018, 22:15Anyone think either Mercedes or Ferrari will try and get through qualy 2 with the Soft trye? The delta between the Soft and Super Soft doesn`t seem as high as say down to the Ultra or Hyper. Start on the Soft, do a reasonably long stint on them when the tanks are full, then switch to the SS for the last X amount of laps...
Can`t see why not if the pace advantage is there to comfortably get through! I thought we`d see this more often.
Other than monza 2008, which other decent race has he pulled off in wet?GrandAxe wrote: ↑03 Oct 2018, 12:12You never can tell with Vettel, he has put in some decent wet times in the past (notably with Toro Rosso), his problems this year only seem to stem from ebbing confidence against an unrelenting competitor.
Kimi on the other hand has always been a dud in the wet, so his case is sealed.
Of course, all of the above will only be useful if it rains.
He was solid in every rain race till Ferrari era?siskue2005 wrote: ↑04 Oct 2018, 08:51Other than monza 2008, which other decent race has he pulled off in wet?GrandAxe wrote: ↑03 Oct 2018, 12:12You never can tell with Vettel, he has put in some decent wet times in the past (notably with Toro Rosso), his problems this year only seem to stem from ebbing confidence against an unrelenting competitor.

Nobody is saying he is poor in wet, just that he is not as good as Schumacher, senna or Lewis in wet
Lewis is better in the wet, but it doesn't take away from Vettel who can be quite decent. Here's a video from their F3 times that shows both at their best in the rain, Lewis comes tops eventually, but Vettel puts in an excellent display:siskue2005 wrote: ↑04 Oct 2018, 08:51Other than monza 2008, which other decent race has he pulled off in wet?GrandAxe wrote: ↑03 Oct 2018, 12:12You never can tell with Vettel, he has put in some decent wet times in the past (notably with Toro Rosso), his problems this year only seem to stem from ebbing confidence against an unrelenting competitor.

Give it up mate, Vettel might not be as good as Lewis in the wet, but he can be handy.
what this video? He is really impressive in the video I posted, isn't he?
Not many drivers can do what Vettel did in that video. Your arguments are neither here nor there, they just don't address anything I've said. What exactly is your point?siskue2005 wrote: ↑04 Oct 2018, 14:39why cant u guys answer simple question? what other noticable wet race did he excel?GrandAxe wrote: ↑04 Oct 2018, 14:15Just to be particular, I mentioned Toro Rosso, not Monza.siskue2005 wrote: ↑04 Oct 2018, 13:49

All i see is Vettel getting stalked by Lewis all through the laps and finally overtaking him in Equal Cars!
