Definitely! Sainz sector times before the crash would have put him ahead of the Renaults I think, but it's too close to call. Can see a penalty coming his way too unfortunately, but if it's a 3 place pen then it might not affect him too badly for the race.

He gets a three place penalty, but with Magnussen starting from the pit, if he qualifies 7th, it will be only two places quite possible Norris being one of them). Doesn't look that bad.

After watching Q2 and Q1, we can say that its not the best result but its not a bad one. I really think we could do better. what happened to sainz?

There was smoke in turn 9 on bottas’ onboard which hints that sainz locked up ahead of him. Not sure though

Still, let's look at the positives. Both cars in Q3. Tomorrow, Norris will start 8th, and Sainz if he gets 3 place penalty will start 11th.

Ricciardo's lap was about 1:11.0, I think that Sainz and Norris did at best 1:11.5. Probably could have got a few tenths more, but probably not enough to get Ricciardo.
