Did Vettel ever say sorry to Charlie when he went all red mist back then ?
I'm confident he did. In the heat of the moment he's super-competitive but, once he's cooled down, he always struck me as quite bright and level-headed.
It's funny how sometimes stereotypes seem accurate, sometimes not.

Kimi is "The iceman" but if you have followed his entire career, you will see he is as hot-headed a driver as F1 has seen. I have no idea where the nickname comes from, other than his drone personality when he's not driving an F1 car.

Then Vettel is supposed to be the cold blooded, methodical German. Guy is incredibly hot headed and easily made excitable. When he's in that frame of mind, he is liable to do anything that is really stupid.

Then you have Fernando Alonso, the "fiery" "temperamental" Latin from Spain. Freddy has been as calm and cool throughout his entire career as any driver I have ever seen. He is enormously calm, confident, and in control even in the heat of battle in a race.

So much for stereotypes!

R.I.P. Charlie. He went quite young.
I wonder who will sit in the Directors Box and start races now.
That would be the deputy race director.

Looking at testing and the final sector along with rumblings in the paddock you'd think Mercedes' pace in S3 in Barcelona whilst probably going by the S1 timings running a lower engine mode will be hard to beat here based on the last 5 years of results.

But we're all stretching. Looking forward to seeing how things pan out.

Is this the right topic to discuss the different sessions? Don’t want to be off topic... FP1 is underway!

Isn't that for races only?

The ESPN / Sky feed is a disaster... The image cuts every second, looks like watching it “frame by frame” (going to get an epileptic seizure watching this!)

Also... Someone needs to be fired at F1 when it comes down to their app... After all the fuzz about the new tire colors (making it easier for everyone, the changes, etc)... They are still showing last years colors for the tires!!!

So the timing has reverted back to the garbage they tried to implement last year? Junk.
