Mercedes W11

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

We still have to test.
Honestly, it doesn't look so overdeveloped compared to w10 but it will be a good evolution, looking at merc's record over the past few years.
One of those guys again #-o

Seriously, look at the sidepods, they were already extreme on the W10, but now they're almost non existing
Packaging sidepods for cleaner flow is not everything though. Reference that Williams - I forget which year - which had a rear end tighter than a Red Bull. Must have been 2011 or 2013.

In other news - there seems to be a very strong ridge running along the sidepod “shoulder” line - any guesses?

Ok, I'm gonna change my post above. The part behind the sidepods isn't pretty much the same - to the contrary, it is clearly tighter.

Nothing apart from the sidepods seems different from W10. (To me)

One slam dunk easy change to notice is the further slimming of the nose.
