With the red, I tell myself it harkens back to the 7-up jordan, and it's okay :)

Nice to see that they are as fast or even faster than red bull.. After waiting for so long for good results. At least they got it right in Hungary and Qatar.

It's good but it's still early. On average, Alpine's Friday to Saturday setup changes don't usually make as much headway as the team's ahead of them in the Constructors standings.

Fingers crossed.

Very interesting video, Alonso gives his feedback during first FP1 run. It’s detailed and precise and just listening you get a sense how he knows exactly what to do and how he is really driving the direction of the team. I really hope next years car delivers.

Nice. I really hope they will get a podium on Sunday. One stop strategy and good tire management...

Good article. Marcin Budkowski being brutally honest.

It’s good that they are recognising there strengths(race team) and acknowledging there weakness for this year(aero). They know what they need to improve for next year.

There haven't been any staff movement to Alpine to improve aero. So even though he recognizes the weakness, what's the solution?

Alonso had said that there was alot of really young people at Alpine, so maybe he expects growth from them?

Expected a bit more from this session tbh :(
And Fernando didn't put a lap until the very end of Q2, I couldn't understand why.

He got caught up in Sainz's yellow flag. Not sure that was a big deal though. From what I saw, they ran 7 laps without comming in. I'm not sure why he didn't go in and put on softs for the final run, like Norris did. Ocon is gonna be starting the race tomorrow 9th or whatever with tires that have 7 laps on them already. That can't be helpful. Looking for him to go backwards tomorrow.

Could be compromised on the get off also on the worn medium.

Ocon drove brilliantly, shame he missed that podium. He was meters away. Fernando seemed to struggle, dunno why. P5 for Alpine seems to be secured.
