There is a 50% chance of rain at Sunday...
Not during the race though, it's expected later in the afternoon, the race is at 2pm local time, until around 4pm chance of rain during that time period is 20%. At worst it'll be like Imola but reversed raining towards the end of the race.

Helmut Marko today on his Birthday :-) about Ben Hodgkinson.

https://f1-insider.com/formel-1-red-bul ... otor-marko

Red Bull chief advisor Helmut Marko (78) reassures all Red Bull fans at F1-Insider.com: “Mercedes is now trying everything legally to delay starting work. But it won't take as long as Mercedes would like. "

Marko leans back, relaxed and reports with a smug smile: “The decisive factor is that we didn't have to poach him at all, instead he applied for our ad on his own. Nor is he the only one who wants to see us. There are also other top-class players whose names I cannot yet name. I only know one thing: if Niki Lauda were still alive, we would not have succeeded. "
.
So there will be even more top-class people coming from Mercedes to RB.

Well, I got two Downvotes for this post above. "Reporting helmet propaganda as fact." and "Speculation"
Maybe think twice before you downvoting a post.

Just weeks after the Milton Keynes-based team announced that it had signed Mercedes' head of mechanical engineering Ben Hodgkinson as its new technical director, more personnel have been confirmed as moving from the German car manufacturer to Red Bull.

Mercedes' head of manufacturing Steve Blewett is to become Red Bull's power unit production director.

Omid Mostaghimi, who is Mercedes' F1 electronics team leader, will be Red Bull's head of powertrains, electronics and ERS.

Pip Clode, who is Mercedes' F1 power unit concept team leader, is to become Red Bull's head of mechanical design ERS.

Anton Mayo, a Mercedes engineering team leader, will be head of power unit design ICE, while Steve Brodie, Mercedes' F1 trackside and final inspection manager, will become Red Bull's Group Leader ICE Operations.

The team has also said it will soon appoint a new Head of Mechanical Development, whose name will be announced in the coming weeks.

It's the old "if you can't beat them, employ them" approach. Got to say that if Red Bull don't end up winning titles in the current season or in the near future, they'll have no one to blame. They're putting quite the team together.

He was only 18 years old. Can he do it this weekend again?

I live 10min far from the circuit, given it's location, you can't always trust forecast. It could rain at the middle of the race. I want a dry race anyway, finally a track where we can draw a more accurate picture of the performance

I suspect that he won't, because there is Bottas at Mercedes, not Rosberg.

I'm not sure if I'm jocking or is the bitter truth.

It's kinda funny and also a bit sad how they feel the need to make a big deal out of those signings when there's always been a transfer of people and thus knowledge behind closed doors ... probably all part of their silly little 'mindgames' ...

I see no problem in it. There are enough clever people at Mercedes anyway, and honestly. I think Mercedes are welcoming it :)
