Friday engine would be the one with the most mileage in your pool
If it faster in Qualy then it will buy them race win, I cannot see Verstappen keeping up with the W12 if he starts behind.bosyber wrote: ↑Sat Dec 04, 2021 12:11 pmBut when the Mercedes in Hamilton's hands is faster all around that doesn't actually buy them too much, especially if they are also equal or better on tyres (look for Zandvoort for that scenario, but switched around).politburo wrote: ↑Sat Dec 04, 2021 10:49 amThe problem is that he's fighting alone, whilst Perez is languishing with the upper midfield. The best luck they can get is Perez starting 4th. Perez can then go into T1 a bit more aggressively and gain track position on maybe Bottas, thus when Hamilton wants to pit, they can place Perez as a legal roadblock and ask him to defend aggressively or use more aggressive deployment to try and defend.Kingshark wrote: ↑Sat Dec 04, 2021 5:12 amI do not see Max beating Lewis around either Jeddah or the revised Abu Dhabi on pure pace. These circuits simply suit Mercedes far too much. They are power sensitive, smooth and grippy tarmac, etc…
He needs luck to go his way, but he’s up against the most blessed driver himselfso that doesn’t seem very likely.
This is literally the only chance. Otherwise, Hamilton will win this race just as easily as the Qatar race, and with exception of a miracle in Abu Dhabi, it would be the same there. All this plus the fact they must as score more points than Merc if they wish to stay realistically competitive in the WCC going into Abu Dhabi next weekend as well.
Gone are those days of normal weekends. We're now at the mercy of Mercedes and Hamilton, only chance is if they make a mistake or are hampered by traffic or a late yellow/red flag after bottling it earlier in Q3, but the chances of either one of such occurrences happening in Q3 are quite low. (apart from the yellow/red flags)
Mercedes and Hamilton are guys to beated. they are big just in your headpolitburo wrote: ↑Sat Dec 04, 2021 1:21 pmGone are those days of normal weekends. Sorry but you're wrong. Underdogs are not 3-4 tenths faster.etusch wrote: ↑Sat Dec 04, 2021 1:39 pmMercedes and Hamilton are guys to beated. they are big just in your headpolitburo wrote: ↑Sat Dec 04, 2021 1:21 pmGone are those days of normal weekends. Remember there is only a 2 hour window before qualli here so this has to be the actual race car I assume
Yeah. Only minor changes from now to Qualy. If it continues that Verstappen is the fastest on the soft then he might have a chance in Q3.
Undercut 4 the win!godlameroso wrote: ↑Sat Dec 04, 2021 9:35 pmHope the car is ok to go tomorrow. Definitely have the pace to win.
