Red Bull RB16B

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

It's a test in a 2year old car to get used to the systems at Red Bull. Learn the wheel and handling characteristics of Newey's Red Bulls.

Actually, these RB lower wishbone angles arent new to RB, they already had such 'reversed' wishbones in 2018 and 2019.
If you look at the AT you'll see it viewtopic.php?f=12&t=29664&start=15
So RB reverted back to their older deign after a 2020 hiatus

For Perez yes. Because they already prepared the RB15 for him yesterday, my take is Max can also use it to be able to better compare the characteristics of the new RB16B. Sort of a benchmark to more quickly understand the changes in behaviour and performance of the new car.

Just my thoughts.
At the pictures with the car with the white tires you can see the RB15. At this moment Alex is driving it.
The pictures with the bleu tires is the RB16B.
Max was driving them both to compare.

But I thought today will be the shakedown of RB16B!? I'm a bit confused :)

Same here. We were supposed to see RB16B today, but that's not the case. What's going on? #-o

Also practice because there are only 3 days of pre-season testing this year. Gym can only go so far getting a driver's body ready for the G-force of an F1 car.
