hello all
i was reading some news around the f1 next season, and there's a point that amaze me a lot, 3 cars per each team to complete the grid, that will involve the big guys, but how can these be posible?
what to spect from a situatution like that?
will be these good for f1?
when was the last time f1 use to bring 3 cars for each team?
if that if posible, the small teams will be affected cause of theyr budgets!
anny repply about these??

Regards to all you

according to F1racing.net, the 3rd car is not allowed to score championship point. this means the 3rd car is totally useless from championship point if view and can only add cost to the teams.

it will only happened if total f1 car on the grid fall below 20 cars. but to make this game totally fair, all teams should race 3 cars, not only some teams.

if this thing goes ahead, I don't know what to expect. but I think the role of team order would be more obvious. they will have 3rd driver at that time , where 2 of them can be rear gunner. worst still, the podium will be swept by one one team only.Boring!!!!!!

the smaller teams can't ever afford a third car. They have problems already with 2 cars...

What is the reasoning behind not allowing possible third cars to score points?

i heard somewhere, could have been pitpass, that the third car is meant for young drivers, so i suppose to give them experience. so by not allowing them to score points it'll deter older professionals who'd have better things to do than race in f1 merely for the fun of it

A third car is already at every race, for every team.

It could be the T-car until qualification is over. The third drivers should be allowed practise, bit not allowed to qualify, or, their qauli results are only used for the starting positions of the third cars, at the rear of the field. This way the T-car is available for race drivers if needed from a quali or practise crash.

This would:

A - Keep teams like Ferrari (I just used that name, as they are my regular top team of choice to carve) from using their third cars effectively as moving chicanes for strategy reasons

B - Keep teams with legitimate entries from being bumped form a well earned quali spot, by some kid in a corker of a car.
