It was just pointed out on Reddit that this is actually the same teaser image they have used last year as well. So it's completely pointless to try and get anything out from it.

If it's significant enough to want to hide from rivals surely you'd want to see how it performs on track in testing?DarkAlman wrote: βFri Feb 04, 2022 4:39 pmRed Bull announced this morning that they are planning an upgrade package for the first race, which mirrors Mclarens announcement from earlier in the week.

Teams nowadays are used to evaluating upgrades during a race weekend, it's what they'll be doing all year.wowgr8 wrote: βTue Feb 08, 2022 12:52 amIf it's significant enough to want to hide from rivals surely you'd want to see how it performs on track in testing?DarkAlman wrote: βFri Feb 04, 2022 4:39 pmRed Bull announced this morning that they are planning an upgrade package for the first race, which mirrors Mclarens announcement from earlier in the week.

The teams will have reasonable confidence that the upgrade is a good one most of the time. Occasionally we see an upgrade that doesn't work, but this early on in a rule set, you'd expect to be able to find performance improvements reasonably easily - no car at the start of a new rule set is close to being 100% optimised.wowgr8 wrote: βTue Feb 08, 2022 12:52 amIf it's significant enough to want to hide from rivals surely you'd want to see how it performs on track in testing?DarkAlman wrote: βFri Feb 04, 2022 4:39 pmRed Bull announced this morning that they are planning an upgrade package for the first race, which mirrors Mclarens announcement from earlier in the week.
