I was under the impression that with the budget cap that it'll be more of a continual development of a concept rather than a "2022 car" and a "2023 car" compared to previous F1 eras, especially given the confidence they'll have in the current direction

In the past you sometimes saw different introduction schedules. The F2001 was run for all of 2001 and part of 2002. The F2002 was run for part of 2002 and part of 2003.

That was so terribly confusing....

In principle yes. The big question is the floor change. If the floor change does not request for substantial changes, then they can run a 2022 chassis in 2023. For RedBull my interpretation is, that they bring in 2022 the "lightweight chassis" for 2023.
Still, from the last race in 2022 to the tests in 2023 there are 3 months, maybe 4 if you count that they can not bring the parts in short time, of development. So every car except the Haas will look different in the 2023 tests than in 2022.

It won't require substantial changes to any other part than the aero. That is the whole reason why the teams agreed to the 15mm compromise. So, you can bet, RB will be using the same chassis (or a lighter version of it) in 2023. Not having substantial changes to the tub, saves a lot of money.

The FIA should have kept the step plane rule from the beginning, rather than dropping the floor edges to the height of the reference plane. Makes no sense to me; Brawn's research car should have been made to deal with the floor edge losses.

Damage was there before the SC, as early as lap 30.

Yes, this was during the last lap behind the SC. It was a bottle of water. There threw more things to his car. #-o

I also see one of the f1 mechanics from RB were subject to racism aswell on Instagram.

Totally shocking.

This is sport and in sports someone wins and someone loose. I also see that there are many people don't understand this. Many people thinks their team is biggest but they don't want rivals to be biggest. If you can not win against biggest you can not be biggest. And if your team be defeated this is not winners fault. It is your teams fault. In this case logically if Ferrari fans wish to threw something to someone who is guilty, it can be Ferrari.

The next F1 conspiracy.....

It was visible many laps before the SC and that 'water bottle' picture is during the SC. It looks very much like the cover over the closed off cooling louvres came partly off and took off some paint/stickers in the process.

F1 fans are in desperate need of tin foil.

Interesting theres no rake in that photo which we commonly see from the RB.

As far as the water bottle incident....I dont think the engine cover damage has anything to do with it.....however, if there was a fan throwing a water bottle at a car...thats a whole different story and completely out of order.
