Not sure what happened, Alonso gave up on the lap in turn 1.
They sent him out too late so he had to hurry but got stuck behind a McLaren

People were parked in the pitlane blocking the exit...not sure what that was about.

Anyways...Guess they'll take a whole new PU tomorrow and start from the back.

Can't argue with that. Alpine have had all these upgrades and Haas None you can see how much Progreess Alpine's made.

When u see the alpine
1 their front wing is so small comparing with the top teams
They talk about the floor blabla and i didnt see any progress
And finaly the rear wing is not a new its just a rear wing for high downforce tweaked only

Start from hards maybe.
What's wrong with the chassis!?
Especially annoying that Alpine management can't admit that the aerodynamic package is disgusting and needs a big change

O the other hand, Pat Fry made it clear that only a big update of the bottom will give an increase in speed

Yeah, they opened up on the sides of the rear wing a bit more but they don't run alot of rear wing either. Makes you wonder if they're down on power.

That was something Alonso contradicted Otmar on, Otmar said it was a new wing and Alonso came out and said that it was race specific only.

Another thing that Fry said really early on in the season. He said that they were having to spend part of the 140M budget on process improvements. He didn't elaborate on how much $$ they were spending on that. Only that it was a challenge to balance.

Supposedly it's the third fastest car in qualifying, but it doesn't seem that way!

I don't understand why the car got slower. Alonso had a 1:20.2 in FP2. He was a full second slower today. That would have been fast enough for 8th/9th.

Ocon was complaining about something they were asking him to do in turn 10(I think) that was costing him alot of time. So not sure if they've got some kind of problem.

Was it hotter in Qualifying today than FP2?
