A nice never-seen-before internal ski-jump ramp-shaped deflector that seems to divert the radiator hot air upwards and to funnel it towards the rear hot air exit.
(Pic is not new and is from around the Austrian GP)

That looks to align with the second hump in the top of the sidepod. Forcing the flow upwards into the upper chamber.

I thought Y250 was dead? That vortex (red arrow) was floating around mid car length on Ocon's car. From the bargeboard?

BTW: awesome video of Alonso’s steering wheel’s screen in the onboards, in case someone fancies a go at what all the numbers there.

Is that the FWEP vortex on Ocon or the lower tip on Hamilton? Vortices arent dead. If it's Ocon's upper endplate that isn't all that helpful for the car - more for the FIA keeping the tyre wake in the car line.

Definitively from the Alpine. Clearer on the live video.

I don't see it. All I see is what looks like daylight to the left of The right tire(from the front) of the Merc. Is that wat you're talking about ?

That little circular white puff where Hamiltons inside tire shoulder would contact the asphalt.
It is not daylight, it is a vortex from / on Ocon’s car. It blocks what would partially be a dark background.
In the original video the cars are shifting and the camera is rotating, so one can get a good sense of 3D and it is a vortex between Ocon’s front and rear wheels but to the outside of the car.

The 'Ferrari cutout'. All 3 teams with ice skates have now tried this form of floor and no others; most likely it requires one to be viable

(Only Ocon has it in USA - Alonso will have it available at Mexico)

Aren't the ice skates banned for next season?
