Nice tease Yinlad!

I've made another good step, should have enough cooling and beat all of the R02 cars. But I said exactly that last time, and everyone made the same or a larger step than me. So I'm looking forward to finishing 5th again!

Here is my Race 03 car. Visually minor changes everywhere, the most obvious difference is giving up my cooling chimneys  . I may do a post about that someday.

Good luck everyone!

For me it's all going to come down to how different the official run is Vs the 'fast' simulations. For Round 2 it was an additional -0.6cl delta, while I can only hope for that much again I suspect it won't be [-o<

I haven't received the COTA email yet. I reregistered on the site to make sure my email is on the mailing list.
Yes, you are not registered. Maybe you never did or you somehow unsubscribed. Make sure to register once more. You will then receive the email next weekend.
You are actually still not signed up. Are you planing to submit a car?

Hello everyone, I have developed some good ideas after Monza, but I haven't had time to put them together in the last week, so I decided to use the 48h delay for Race n°3 (submission by midnight next Tuesday, is that correct?).

Yinlad and G-raph: good job. I increased the efficiency, but I think I'm lacking in terms of absolute downforce.

Isn't that nose a bit on the unrealistic side? Last time someone used a nose similar to yours was Minardi on 2001 if im not wrong.

This is my entry for this round (Who needs halo  ):

I didnt go for some crazy design choices on this one so i expect a fully legal car this time  Expected Cl/Cd is around -2,6. This one has more downforce than some of my LMP cars back in the day.
Changelog:
High Downforce front and rear wing with proper endplates
Floor leading edge fences
Modified Floor geometry
New sidepods (again)
Heavily reworked main body

Is that a thing we're allowed to do? I may have to take that up too if so. My balance migration between fast and long mvrc has switched, so more forward than anticipated now! I'm trying to rectify that but a delay would make that much easier

You do have to announce it before the submission deadline.

So we have two late cars. However, I noticed that we never got CFD images from the last race. So here you go:

I think the 2008 McLaren or the 2014 Catheram had much skinnier noses than the 2001 Minardi. The 2013 Mercedes as well, except it was horizontally thin. I'm sure we can find many more.

Ultimately it is not for me to decide if this nose is unrealistic. But as it is the only part of my car that hasn't changed since Race 01, and it is not thinner than the previous race winners, I would be suprised to recieve any warning or penalty for it.
