Soft tyres are holding on for multiple quali sims and barely any deg in RB's long run on the soft. Max started his long run in the low 1.16s and finished on the mid 1.16s with about 15 laps done on that set

Thinking Pirelli are a step too hard this weekend
Another metronome challlenge for Max this weekend

Ah they mean a 1-2 in the WDC, which is accurate. They've never done that

Ah right. I misheard that. This makes much more sense.

Does anyone else feel like the build up for this weekend has been so quiet. I completely forgot F1 was on this weekend

Both championships wrapped up so it's not a lot to hype up

Many just want 23’ now

Would be typical of we get rain and it mixes up the grid. Then it’s dry tomorrow, and we end up with the normal grid for Sunday

Ferrari losing 3 tenths from the exit of Juncao up to the finish line. So much grunt missing it is disheartening. Superfast engine running in conservation mode again?

They're bottom of the speedtrap list with 320 kp/h despite running perhaps the least loaded rear wing (visually). I'd say the engine is in a very safe mode

Engines usually turned down in Free practice. If they are still down after qualifying, that's a different story.

RB don't look that quick on the straights either. At least not by the margins we've come to expect. Mercedes is matching them.

Yeah RB is running their singapore/Hungary beam wing here for some reason; it's making them roughly equal to Merc on the straights. It's unusual but maybe they're worried about similar deg to Austria hitting them again at the medium altitude. Might be a lack of spare parts as well this late in the season

It's no wonder Max had tons of understeer with their highest downforce BW on
