Bottas' wife, racing cyclist Tiffany Cromwell, reveals to Veitola that the change of stables had an impact on his well-being.
The man became much more relaxed as soon as he switched from Mercedes to Alfa Romeo in 2022. There is also much less outside criticism now.

Hope Valterri is keeping well after reading that.

It seems a lot of people at Mercedes seem to suffer a lot with their mental health. Lewis, Toto, Valterri all openly admitting they have problems. Almost seems like something isnt 'right' in that camp. Very odd indeed.
Very poor take… Mental Health isn’t related to a Team or “camp”, it is something that a lot of people struggle with but simply don’t openly discuss or talk about for a variety of reasons… Openly talking about it is a good thing, not only for the individuals doing it, but also for those that suffer with it and understand that even those that are perceived as successful also struggle.

Your tribalism is unnecessary.

No tribalism at all.

So you dont believe a workplace or those around you can have an affect on your mental health? Seems a little 'odd' that no other driver openly talks about it given the size of the grid and the teams in the paddock.

Clearly you don’t follow other teams… Just as an example Norris has talked openly about dealing with it, since early in his McLaren tenure… And No, you can struggle with Mental Health regardless of the environment, you can be in the best environment but your own insecurities can bring you down… With as competitive as F1 is, it’s not surprising that people do just as it isn’t surprising that a lot of them don’t openly talk about it.

I won’t comment on this anymore since this thread is about the Alfa Romeo Team.

Good to see

Car needs some upgrades however. They didn't bring a different spec chassis compared to last year apart from roll hoop modifications. So surely that has saved budget compared to others

And yet the car seems to be largely the same as the start of the season..

Is there any news regarding car updates with this team?

The car development seems to have stalled at this team. The sidepod bodywork looks very basic compared to others.

Alfa Romeo is also planning important updates with the aim of increasing the aerodynamic load on the C43: among the many parts, we will also see a new bottom on the Swiss car.

Sauber will be rebranded as Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber for the 2024 Formula 1 campaign, following the departure of their title sponsor Alfa Romeo.

Alfa didn't want to partner with Haas. Alfa Romeo has decided to pursue FIA WEC participation instead.
