Who are the key personnel in car design this year with Fallows now gone?

I’m keeping an eye on Aston just in case they eradicate their issues having been very strong at the start of 2023.

The car was born and developed under the leadership of Bob Bell (who was overall responsible for the technical departments in 2024) and Eric Blandin (aero and overall car design).

With Cardile now in charge as overall responsible technical figur at the factory and Krack trackside, it remains to be seen what Bell will be doing in the future. Maybe just retire with nearly 67, as it looks that he was just a temporary solution.

I wanted to include all those names in the OP but the structure has been a bit of a mess lately. Next year it should be easier.

Hopefully it will be easier next year, but Cowell seems to be the guy who wants very clear responsibilities, as does Newey (what he said at his presentation).

Some weeks ago I thought ALO will visit the factory, he wasn't (durance of the visit too short and wrong airport in the UK). He isn't the guy who often visits the factory, but it's a bit surprising that he wasn't in the factory for quite a long time now. He is very private lately it seems, just some commercial stuff he posts on social media.

Last year they did a private test in Spain with a 2-year-old car in early February. Let's see if something similar is planned for this year.

I think the offseason is more important for his training now that he’s a little bit older, has to be a bit more strict and focused to maintain his high levels. Just my opinion but that’s what I think

Alonso was gonna take care of that intestines thing this winter.

not long to go guys. 3 weeks until we get carried away with journalists saying if the car handles well or not
Well it's almost the 4th....4 +14 equals the presentation.
I’ll be shocked if any team shows the real thing during that presentation. 3 weeks till pre season testing is what I should have clarified
It's still the official start to the 2025 season. The start of the build up to tge season. We will not see everything but we'll see alot. Even after testing is completed, we will not know everything. Teams typically bring upgrades to the first race.

ALO himself said in an interview that he recovered already from this disease around season finish. He was just exhausted after the season, also because of a little injury in Brazil. He was obviously fit in later December to go on track in Aragon. But as Chanman said, maybe he trains hard, Not an easy task in the mid 40s I guess.

Teams never show the real car at car launches. Testing is just that testing, it's never a good idea to get carried away with lap times as you don't know what programmes the teams are running.

I guess we'll either see more of the same from AM or they'll have found some areas to improve on that lifts them up the field a bit. I expect Newey will be focused on the 2026 project. Not that he won't have input on issues the team might have with the '25 car. Just don't expect any miracles from Newey for '25.

We should have a rule that says, they need to run the first race with whatever they present on the 18th.

But do you really think that teams start copying concepts in the last year of these regulations, spending important resources that could have been instead allocated to the 2026 project?
But no guys, I think that the cars they will bring will be the definitive ones, also because copying solutions and putting them in your car does not ensure an advantage, given that each car has its own concept. The fact is that this car will not disappoint me and as I said It will surprise us. However, in my opinion, Newey needs just a month to fix everything

The biggest change will come from the new wind tunnel and extra manufacturing capacity.

I would say no to "copying" but I'd yes to adapting ideas that they see on other teams cars. It doesn't have to be an idea that's worked either. Some times an idea is good but the implementation is bad. When these guys look at other teams cars they see what the engineers were trying to do.
