Is there a picture of the high downforce rear wing?
It doesn't turn.

Engineer in the team stream said they will probably only do an evaluation in FP3. It's the wing they plan to use in some of the next races.

Probs just declared now in case they want to gather some data on it ahead of Barcelona where I'd imagine they intend to run the med-high wing

the new wing in monaco looks a lot more like medium-high than high to me, their 2024 monaco wing was true high load wing

They introduced a high downforce wing in Imola, tested in FP3. That was third wing of the season.

Nor a medium-high wing. Making it 4.

Thanks, that was indeed the wing we see now in Monaco

McLaren team stream (commentary on McLaren website) is quite useful. Last week they explained why they declared high downforce wing in Imola (they verified it in FP3).

This is from today - Henry Fidler is Oscars performance engineer.

Lando signed-off our Monaco-spec high downforce rear wing with a lap in FP3 last weekend, so that will be on the car here. We also have changes to the front suspension with a different steering arm to allow the cars to get around Loews Hairpin. It’s something we do every year: it gives the car more steering angle from lock to lock, to get around that corner. It’s a shorter steering arm, so you get a bit more travel.

Exactly my understanding too @FittingMechanics

Why have they brought a medium-high DF wing to Monaco?? Surely you want every last drop of DF here?
The new wing could be data gathering/ test run like @Organics suggested but to do that at Monaco?

You can probably do a fixed speed run and verify the data before it is used in next races.
