draining water

Those are maybe stupid questions, but as the saying goes "One who ask a question is never stupid, one who doesn't will stay stupid his whole life."
In heavy rain situations, what is preventing water to accumulate in the cockpit? Is there some sort of draining system for this purpose (grid or bail out)? If there is, where is the water rejected?
If there isn't, does it mean added wheight from rain water stagnating in the cockpit is negligible? Or maybe the travel speed of the car (airflow) is preventing rain to drop inside of the cockpit...
