About a Weird Nose Cone I found in Mexico

I have an argument with some dudes about a nose cone. I hope you can help me with this.

In This First Picture I show you an exhibition car. Noitice the nose cone. The car looks like a Formula Renault, but I haven't found an official photo of a F-Renault on a race with this nose cone.

In This second picture I show you the Oficial car (check out the cone diferences)

The Q. is: Is the first car really a Formula Renault? If not, What car is it? Is it just an show-room formula with a look-alike nose cone, with formula 1 tires?

I hope you can help me...

Cheers.

I don't think that is a real car at all. Not F1 not WS Renault.

reasons:

1. Pushrod attached to lower wishbone not to upright
2. Pushrod too thick
3. There is no sign of break ducting only some silly cover
4. Front wing is wider than what FIA regs allow if car is 1800mm than front wing is at least 1500-1600mm while FIA limit is 1400mm
5. Double Rear wing looks ridiculous
6. Endplates seam to be thinner than what FIA reg. impose (10mm)
7. Sidewalls of tyres look like some diagonals from 40 years ago
8. Grooves on rear tyres look also a bit strange
9. Nose seams to have a bit of incompatibility with chassis
10. Those 4 "screws" used to fix the nose are on nose not on chassis

I'm not sure but to me it looks like F1 mockup for advertising purposes

Could it be the formula Superfund car, that was F1'ish.

No. It is not a Superfund. I am bigining to think that this is a fake car...

The car running in the pics is different from the show car, which appears as though it might be based around an old Jordan monocoque. Bob salisbury engineering based at silverstone make show cars from old Jordan moulds.

Its not an FRenault, they don't have barge boards.

FNippon maybe?

No, I've searched and the F. Nippon that looks more like the telmex car is this one:

I still think it is a mockup car

If it is not than find me at least one other formula car that has pushrod attached to wishbone instead to upright.

manchild, only about 2001/02 did Ferrari start putting the pushrod point on the upright. I'd have to check my literature but Reca might know this one properly.
Not long after Ferrari did it everybody else followed, typically.

I actually looked at the photos and i don't recognise that as an F1 car. Then again, some things pass from one's mind after a few years of trying to remember 20 shapes every year :)
