So you could actually buy those models and built them into that level of detail? Amazing!

I've been building Tamiya models for the better part of 3 decades. The level of detail and finishing is truly amazing. It takes a skilled hand and patience, but in the end, you'll have an incredible peice.
On another note, these models are so realistic you can learn quite a bit about packaging in a modern F1.
Tamiya's MotoGP and sportscar line up is also outstanding.

My question is, did you paint yourself also your F1 model? Any tips where I can find some - How to paint models lessons ? - I don't want to get this super nice model and then mess it up with crappy painting skills since I have never done this before!

The first rule is to take your time! Use quality paints, and test fit every piece BEFORE you glue - and use glue and paint sparingly.
Doing some research on the model you are building also helps, allowing for a good undertstanding of the colors each component needs to be.
This is quite a good site for all modelers -
