The Lamborghini Reventón is a supercar that debuted at the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show. It will be the most powerful and expensive Lamborghini to date, costing one million euro. The official press release states that only 20 will be built, but it was later reported that the total number would be 100. The exterior styling was inspired by the F-22 Raptor.
The Reventón is named after a fighting bull according to Lamborghini tradition.

Looks like Murcielago after 'pimp my ride'

The Reventon is attractive and average for it's class, front styling derivative contempory for the class, rear panel/lines end echoing historical Lamborgini elements.
The car is suited to a market niche, not mine, perhaps not yours...but for a few that strive for conspicuous consumption,
that are enthusiasts of wealth and have attained megamoney or have a love of the exotic examples of the automotive art.
The Honda NSX and twin turbo Lotus Esprit Belatti sited, offer performance that is close, are in the reach of some of us, about 20KUSD>45KUSD, that is , if we could put off a few family goals and endure a little disapproval from the relatives.
OT - but I miss Ted68 and Pro's opinions and NoBS posts.

Reventón? Bull names?
"Reventón" means "tyre puncture" in spanish. Funny, I guess they don't have many spanish speaker customers (or publicists).

Fabulous looking car. So very smooth and stylish yet agressive-looking, you keep getting the feeling as if it would eat you alive (with a mouth and teeth and all that GRAAARRWWW!!).
Have I mentioned I really like it? :)

Already lunatic LP640 gets even more lunacy. Great likeness to the F-22A Raptor, but the price tag of $1.2m is a bit too much. Id rather have the T1 or the Veyron.

What's
T1?
PS: I'd rather get a 288GTO or even DB5

"Reventon" also is slang here, for a high alcohol and drug loaded party.
That car would be nice for arriving to the "Reventon" but extremely dangerous to return home

Looks like any other Lambo or Ferrari of reacent. Somehow maintaining an incredable power to be both exotic and remarkably dull at the same time. Like a supermodel in a cardigan.

People do tend
to find it hard to invent names for cars that aren't insulting or stupid in any language. And generally come up with names that mean nothing and are still ridiculous. This Lambo will join the subcategory of "Spanish mishaps" with such well thought out predecessors as Chevy Nova (the sales certainly "went" nowhere) and Mitsubishi P****o (... erm, on a quick second thought, Shogun).
As to the Reventón itself, my first impression isn't altogether positive. The design marries two things, "stealth" shapes and Lamborghini design memes, and that just isn't necessary. It also irks me when people say something is inspired by "nature" ... the last I checked, everything we do happens according to natural laws, thus being inspired by nature says absolutely nothing 95% of the time (and I do notice when it does mean something). The trouble with assessing supercars, though, is that they're not sensible to begin with. So, either you don't like supercars, period, or apply a different standard altogether. And there's not a whole lot "necessary" to deciding to manufacture or to own a supercar.
This is supposed to be some kind of a flagship for Lamborghini for some time to come. OK, it relates well to the other models, it's easily recognisable as a Lambo. Beyond that, I don't quite know what it stands for. Exclusivity? That might seal the deal for some, I tend to buy the things I find appealing whether they're produced by order alone or by the millions, so that argument alone doesn't work for me. If a supercar isn't superbly beautiful, it should at least be divisive ... but at least for now, I feel a bit indifferent towards the Reventón.
But it's a very nice thing to marvel at anyway, and the ideas within are worth a look. Clearly there's been a lot of design talent involved in making it happen and I hope it's a good ride, too. I don't know why it had to be stated that the angular shapes are "stealthy" or whatever, the idea could've been developed without that reference. Contemporary stealth shapes are more flowing anyway.

Saw it on Top Gear. Looks awesome IMO. Particularly like the fighter speedocome heads up display option!

God I love that thing!!!
Somehow it reminds me to the countach, the most beautiful of them all....but that´s the styling
on the mechanical side I´d like to see some better numbers for that amount of money if you know what I mean
You can buy one CCR + one f430 Scuderia if you add a few bucks... both of which are faster and quite exclusive
