"Jan 5 - F1 legend Michael Schumacher is set to make his GP debut on two wheels... Apparently the German will race at Jerez, Sachsenring and Catalunya, three circuits he knows well from his F1 days. Schumacher will ride a Ducati and is currently training for his three wildcard MotoGP outings."

seriously? can't find this anywhere else...

Blimey - brave man! He has gone quite well in his test on a Ducati.....I would argue VERY VERY well in fact!

I would certainly be something; and huge respect fro trying 8)

he was under a second slower when he had a test on a duke a couple of years back

not sure, i thought it was more like 15 seconds slower on the 990's.

he was 5 sec off stoner this time around, without carbon brakes too.

still, can't find this news anywhere else, and he'd apparently said no to racing a gp bike. he's got the fitness but i'd think the stakes are high for him - fall off, and...

...would be great to see if true though.

It's fairly common knowledge that has happened already: http://www.gizmag.com/go/4382/

Fair point. I think it would be good to have Rossi and Schumacher both ride then drive round Fiorano and average the times. I reckon it'd be pretty close, maybe to the point that who's marginally better could vary from day to day thus not being definitive. In which case it would just prove that they're both damn good at racing. :P

I'm honestly not a Schumy fan though. No doubt he's stupidly quick but nothing has ever drawn me to him, Rossi on the other hand is a great laugh. If I was rooting for anyone, it would be Valle... Sorry!
