Retrieval of deleted items

Okay, I need some help. I took some pics with my phone, sent them to my computer via email, and accidentally deleted them before I opened them. So I went to my recycle bin and it had already been dumped by the time I realized what I'd done. Is there anyway I can retrieve them? Yes, they are gone from the phone, too. I immediately deleted them when I sent them due to their content. Can I retrieve them on the phone?
Thanks,

Sorry I'm in a rush, no time to explain. Read the doc. I've used it in the past and I can assure it works. But time play against you. Files deleted from HDD are still there, just Windows now considers this space free to reallocate any new Data.
So before you install and use freeundelete, DON'T install, move, or copy anything!
Good Luck.

I think Ted is talking about his mail client recycle bin. If that's the case, Windows recovery software won't help. I tried once a program to recover info from a memory card and it worked. I looked for it, but I could not find it again. On the other hand, there are several programs to undelete camera memory. Here you have a couple, or you can google for "phone photo undelete" or somethig like that, perhaps including your phone model. I found a couple of sites with demos only:

There's been a lot of posts already offered but I would like to help.
IMO - For absolute saftey you should use an inexpensive UBS flashdrive (or you may be able to download to a floppy disc if you have a drive on your computer and the program is small enough to fit) to download any software. This will protect from any possibility of overwritng the sectors with the photos. This may seem like overkill - but I wear a belt and suspenders
When you delete a file (so called) permanently (whether by emptying the recycle bin, pressing SHIFT + DELETE, or other means), the contents of the file aren’t removed immediately. Rather, the file’s entry in your file system’s index is removed, and your computer is told that it’s allowed to use the space where your file is. Until your computer actually moves new data over top of the location of the file, it’s still there - it’s just nameless and invisible to the operating system.
Here is a page 'Guide To File Systems'that offers advice.

Great that it worked. Computer rebellion is a pain. Number one - vyselend's post (rushing out on his way to work?) That pointed us all in the right direction. Nothing like a group effort. Number Two - good execution Ted68, we were all figuratively looking over your shoulder with our fingers crossed.
