I suddenly actually want a PS3 quite badly now, this would be great. Especially after GT4 dropped the ball and didn't include any formula 1 cars, though the LMP1's were great.

There is a formula one car in GT4

Personally, that looks like a rather poor model for GT5... The front wing is all out of shape and the rest of the car looks out of proportion...
Meh, oh well.. glad I own a 360

My close friend had times on Monaco in GT4 with the Formula car (looks like a F1/GP2 hybrid) in the LOW 1:10.xxx's. I am not as competitive as he, since I cannot break 1:12, but I much prefer the Itallian Backstreets (whatever weird name they have, its the next to last one under city courses) so Monaco isnt my best track.
Anyways, The F2007 looks great simply for BEING THERE! The GT series has never had Ferrari's in them, so even less than perfect ones are welcome in my book.
I have the G25 wheel, and the 142" Projector, but I lack the PS3, so this may get back burnered. I have 4 daughters, so it isnt like I really get time to drive anymore anyways... It alsways seems to be Barbie on our livingroom theater, there isnt much time for Dad's games anymore...
Mid morning ramble over.

Conceptual, it sounds like a family and four daughters are a blessing even when compared to the exhilaration of lapping GT4. I'm sure that's an opinion we both share. A compliment

Carlos, you have NO IDEA how blessed we are. We tried for a boy on #3, and ended up with TWIN GIRLS! Needless to say, we are DONE building our family! Now we concentrate 100% on learning and developmental growth, and doing individual research on child psychology as well as best practices for parenting helps us achieve those goals.

Its NOT that I cannot play because of them, it's just that my time that I have with them is just that valuable, so I don't even think about it. It is going to be another 3 years by our plan until the development will reach a point that it will become invaluable with our oldest daughter, as GT5 and a PS3 will be $150, and we can use the simulation to literally give her a lot of time behind the wheel BEFORE she gets behind the wheel.
The beauty of the GT series is the fact that the purchased cars without upgrades handles an aweful lot like a real car. I am sure that GT5 is going to be better than the very good GT4, as that is what the evolution of the series has proven at every step. I look forward to that time, because she is a VERY competitive and determined little girl. We played 44 straight games of Chess last week because she refused to give up until she beat me, and she finally did, fair and square, and I don't lose very often in Chess. It is my personal favorite game.
And she is only 7.
I can only imagine what she would do with online racing!

NO RIM SHIELDS!!!
The onboard is rediculous. This game is going to be simply amazing.

Does the PS3 have force feedback yet when using a gaming wheel?
Will this game only be out on the PS3 and not the PS2?
Thanks, looks great btw!

The lack of rim shields is a very minor issue, imho. And it's very easy to fix for developpers.
The onboard is seriously disappointing though. It looks WAAAAY too smooth and easy. And the sounds suck.
Now compare it with this. A sim made by a group of people without mega budget and based on a seriously outdated graphic engine.

Those hands are amazing, approaching uncanny valley type effects here. The hands actually freak me out, because I keep expecting them to adjust their grip or the knobs, but they remain perfectly still, along with the shifts. The game looks awesome, can't wait till the full version comes out and I get myself a PS3

Game looks decent. But the sound is absolute crap. Sounds like it's coming from a tin can.
