Renault was among the majority of teams not to use front wheel rim shields for Australia and Malaysia

RENault had better step up their game, better diffusers aren't going to cut it, the problems are deeper than that

Much like the Mclaren's rear wing, possibly something that renault picked up from the IP they had. Although they seem to be having a tough time of getting it to work with that car as a whole. In the one friday practice session at sepang they used a design like last year.

Add in the Sidepod Barge Board as well, thhat has been added by both Renault and BMW Sauber, the advantage of this is it directs the air arround the sidepod as a whiole, whilst creating concidrable ammounts of extra downforce at the rear of the car.

FRONT WING BAHRAIN
Renault used a wider second flap for Bahrain to add front downforce . The second flap is so much wider that almost touches the nose cone side surface

ENGINE DORSAL SHARK FIN
Renault tried during Barcelona April test a Dorsal shark fin on the engine cover analogous to the one used by Red bull RB4 .Probably the new cover will be used for Spanish GP .
R28 also featured front heel rim shields , similar to the ones tied during winter testing

Actually their rear diffuser looks less complex and detailed, almost empty compared to Ferrari and Mclaren shots. And it is very important and probably will cut majority of the gap.

How about this image? I thought "maybe" this can prove something useful.
