Engine usage in '09

So we're approaching the 4th of the season now. Does anybody know how many engines each driver has used from their allocation of 8?
3 different engines for each of the first three races which have been put in storage for later in the year?
1 engine for all three races since two of them were in the rain?
Does anyone have any idea?

Summary: all of them have used 2 engines, except Robert Kubitza, who has used three and Heikki Kovalainen, who has used 1. I made this graph:
Verse and chapter:
ES# - Engine Serial # - for each driver
EV# - Event number - number of events that engine has been used
Note that in Malaysia most teams changed engines after Friday practice, but at Shanghai, only Hamilton and Kubica did so.

Great data
=D>
Can you find similar data for gearbox usage in 2009

Well, ναι, dear bar555. There are no impossible things, only unable men, altough I'd say it's impossible to avoid brawls
if I let you alone for one day, ehem.
Rule: Drivers must use the same gearbox for four successive events. Any gearbox changes will result in a 5-place grid penalty at that event. Drivers who fail to finish a race are able to change gearboxes without penalty.
Australia
1. Hamilton - new 'box after qualifying, 5-place penalty
Malaysia
4. Räikkönen - DNF in Melbourne, so free change allowed
15. Vettel - DNF in Melbourne, free change
23. Barrichello - new 'box, 5-place penalty
China
10. Glock - new 'box', 5-place penalty
23. Barrichello - free change because he used a spare 'box at Sepang
"The above driver had to replace his previous gearbox during the last event for a spare gearbox and this was before the four consecutive events expired. Therefore he may use a new gearbox at this event and the four consecutive events will start here in accordance with Article 28.6a of the 2009 Formula One Sporting Regulations."

Looks like im gonna have to start a new spreadsheet for engines for my data. But my data suggests simmilar ammounts of engine usage, but i dont have the distances ar anything on my data... yet.
However, i do have Chassis and KERS equiped data.

Fantastic data Ciro. Exactly what I was after. It's interesting to see how many miles Kovalainen has covered in Australia and Malasian eventhough he only managed 2 laps of racing.

Nice info, ESP, thank you very much. Just in case, here is the spreadsheet I made, in case you want to reuse something (it's not a very good one, it has no structure):

Perhaps we could update this thread once in a while. If the average I find continues, most drivers are going to use the 8 engines allowed well before the end of the championship.
You're welcome, henning. Eukaristó to you, bar555.

Thanks for the added data, im now gonna try and figure out a way to try and incorperate it in to my own data.
Kinda like putting a DDD onto a SDD cars rear end, but ill do a Newey, and pull heaven and earth to incorperate it.

EDIT:
The tough part is if a dcar has a engine change in the middle of a week end. Thats what totally f's things up.
Im gonna try something and see if that works.

Thanks for the info on the Laps and what engine was used where. Thats probably the biggest help.
May require more like that as the season goes on and the chart evolves.
