Tyre battle

What do you guys think is the better tyre compound of the two "court" suppliers, Bridgestone and Michelin?
Bridgestone is clearly ahead with 11 wins this season, so can wa conclude all Michelin drivers are suffering with a technical handicap, that even a miracleteam can't solve?
There's for sure some difference in wet weather conditions and dry weather. Bridgestone seems to be a LOT better than Michelin in the rain..
What do you all think?
Is it all the same, are all equally good? One definitely better?

It amazes me why the Macs switched to Michelin this season..it must have been because of the collaboration between Bridgestone and Ferrari. On track that should favour Michelin, still Ferrari and Bridgestone won.
I don't necessarily think it's because of the tyres solely...the F2002 are simply awesome.
Fast switch - slow swith

strangely enough, McLaren seems to switch quite rapidly to a new tyre supplier when it comes available.

They were also the first to jump on the Bridgestone train when the monopoly of Goodyear came to an end. Also then, we say Ferrari stitching with its old partner until the very end. After a necessary swith to Bridgestone, now they're settled and I don't think they will change in a short future

I think the decision made by McLaren to switch to Michelin was because of the fact that Bridgestone favours Ferrari more than them. They even have a workshop at Maranello.

Its obvious that Bridgestone has an advantage on Michelin. But this won't last: as we know Bridgestone only works with Ferrari (also with other teams, but mainly with the red tribe), Michelin is working with 2 top teams (McLaren and Williams). The combination between McLaren and Williams is really advantaging Michelin as they will have more information collecting from a race and so develop better tyres for both.
McLaren was right to switch to Michelin because Bridgestone was favouriting Ferrari. They said it was better for their image if Ferrari won instead of McLaren. In fact, I really hope that GoodYear will come back to F1 with McLaren.

hehe would be nice..
that would be a long time since we saw three tyre manufacturers in F1. In fact, that is from before I was watching F1
It's all the same for me, anything is better than 1 type of tyres. Let's bring up dunlop :p

For me bridgestone are better. keep in mind, Michelin was found cheating in the 2/3 part of season by using tyres wider than allowed

Ferrari also can design cars better suited to the brigestone's tires than others. It is not bridgestone designing tires better suited to Ferrari's cars

This is because the 'similar topics' at the bottom of every page trawl up threads from years ago.

jesus this is not even the tyre battle of 06 but of 02 WTF man do you have special insight to the 02 season??
let me tell you something ferrari works well with bridgestone so well in 04 that they shoot themselves in the leg that they stuff up their 05 car and tyre combo, if only they could have known and develop their 05 cars better. maybe schumacher could have been 8 to 9 time or more world champions
