Questions can't get any vaguer really, but good idea would be to figure out which engine you are working with and then figure out who you'll get more torque.
If you want to start from scratch about engines then the library is the place.

Turning the Ignition key usually initiates my car's engine. i'm guessing all-terrain vehicle engines initiate the same way..

It seems you want to make your own ATV.If you wish that than I think engine size varies from 49 to 1,000 cc.So to start work on engine,you should choose appropriate model of ATV and engine as per your criteria.
