Hello all.

I hope this doesn't count as spam, alas, I shall forge on.

In March, into April, Myself and 2 friends (Max and Bec) are going to attempt to hitch-hike from Scotland to Morocco, in the name of Charity.
What charity you ask, well it is:Link Community Development They set out to provide and improve access to education in 3rd world countries. More info in the link

Well, I'll get to the crunch...I'm asking, hoping, that you can give something (£1 or $1, preferably more) in aid of our cause here. Max named it  He claims we're going to be dressed as Shamans the whole time...this is news to me, but, I'll do it! I'll provide some sort of photographic evidence.

I, however, will probably not make it the whole distance. As I only managed to get 1 week off of work :(

Just now we're at £39 but we attempt to raise £1050 through online donation, selling prints and hosting events.

Please donate, it'll be mighty helpful.

Good for you Roost. Anyone who has not done something for charity should once in their life I think, or regularly if you have the time/energy/gumption.

I went door to door for a year for an envirnmental group that does NOT ram boats. (http://wildernesscommittee.org/). We saved a species of owl that was down to the last 30 pairs. Felt not too bad.

I am not in a position to really help anyone but myself right now, but I wish you all the best, and will pass your link to a few friends.

Have you checked to make sure that Hitch Hiking is not illegal in some of these countries? Could pose a problem on foreign soil.

I just checked and it's legal in all countries however, it seems to become more and more difficult as I go along. And once you reach Morocco there's no real need to go further as the route is complete.

I quite like doing things for charity, last year I packed bags in a Major shop for hours to help my friend raise funds for climbing Kilimanjaro (which she successfully acheived) and I've taken part in events for local ones. It's thoroughly enjoyable!

That's good news, I applaud your achievement of saving a species of owl.

Thanks for passing the link on Giblet. It's very much appreciated.
