All,

in preparation of 2011, we have set up a contest that can earn you some official McLaren gear, including a jacket, shirt, a cap and several other items.

To make a chance to one of these prizes, all you have to do is design an f1technical wallpaper (to use on your computer desktop) or design an f1technical t-shirt. Winners will be chosen by the team.

Every member can enter this contest, and you can submit your proposal(s) to [email protected] or post them here if you prefer. The competition will close on 31 December, 24h GMT+1.

Does it have to have a McLaren in it? (The wallpaper, not the prizes )

Sounds like a good idea Are we designing the wallpaper and shirt with the current F1 Technical logo in mind or did you want a new one designed?

The designs should not contain any reference to any driver or team. We are only looking for designs for f1technical, nothing to do with mclaren.

Also, feel free to use the current logo.

Acceptable for wallpapers of course. Our current wallpapers are also with team images, that's fine.

what are the dimensions of the wall paper in pixels?

I didn't know F1 technical is sponsored by McLaren
Anyway great idea to make a little competition.
I am looking forward to see the results even when I can't participate myself because I am not very skilled with photoshop.

I guess 1080p (1920 x 1080) for 16:9, and 1600 x 1200 for 4:3 make sense, yes? I don't know if there's a standard for 4:3 above that, my monitor doesn't either.
