Clocks will also change in Europe next week, though, so normally it shouldn't make a difference?
They change in opposite direction. Northern hemisphere changes to summer time, in the southern hemisphere summertime ends.

I am not going to watch it live. Under the weather myself.

So I’d appreciate it if nobody talks about the race until at least 10:00. Thank you.🙏

Tomorrow 3 PM in Melbourne is 5 AM in Europe because of not moving the clock.
In two weeks April 7 when it is in Melbourne 3 PM in is in Europe 7 AM because both countries moved the clock.
ah, right, they are moved in different directions. Didn't think about that.

Logical, but indeed, haha, hadn’t thought about that. Their end of summer is our begin.

Yes, I should have mentioned that.

Though Ferrari would get a pole Max/RBR were chasing a setup most of the weekend. But Max put it all together when he needed too . Might have the best car in the grid but when pressure is on he can still perform.

It seems symptomatic of RB going for full optimisation of race setup, then seeing how they can "cope" driving it v-light on fuel with absolute engine limits approached, this just to contain other's possibly more targeted qualli pace setup.

Puts RB close enough in Q pace, with others more compromised in R.

They were struggling with lots of understeer in q1 and had plenty of graining in fp3. Seems just like setup issues and not race setup.

They also took away lots of wing on Saturday which is usually not a race friendly setup.

Yep, red flags, rain. Start at 07:00 here would mean a chance of it getting too dark there. Apparently last year they really feared that.

Why? Don’t you know the outcome already?

They had a lot of graining due to bad balance causing sliding and taking tyres out of their window. Less downforce will hurt tyres some more, but better to achieve optimal balance. To my eye it looked like Ferrari changes overnight from friday to sat might've hurt their balance

Agree and Max/RB stepping up was always on the cards. But did feel like they had slightly more ground to make up this time.

Think always a race setup edge, find the sweet spot in between

This is Max interview post quali. Doesn't seem like they aimed at race, he said it was a tricky weekend so far, made lots of changes, even q1-q2 wasn't good but came together in q3. He thinks Ferrari might have the better race setup.

This isn't to say Ferrari will win tomorrow, I don't think they will, but this weekend it wasn't RedBull finding race setup and then tuning for quali. They struggled a bit and it was visible.

Max has been impervious, let's all pray that Sainz jumps him at the start, I mean when was the last time he lost a position at the start, against Norris?
